Shoutout KUA is a project to collect and share video messages of gratitude to and from members of the KUA community as part of One Day. One KUA. , Kimball Union Academy's Day of Giving. It is a celebration of generosity and gratitude by KUA's global community of alumni, family and friends!
To participate, just record a video shoutout thanking someone in the KUA community for the gifts of time, talent, treasure, or care that they have given to you. These videos will be compiled and played at All-School Meeting on our Day of Giving, November 14th, 2024, and shared online.
Use the "Record Video" or "Upload a Video" options (right) to capture and submit your message. This will work on your desktop, tablet or phone. Your message does not need to be long; it can be as short as 5-10 seconds.
This is your chance to let everyone know the good that someone special in the KUA community has done and what it meant to you!

Recording Tips:
- Make sure to film horizontally so you fill the frame.
- Keep your device close for good sound quality but far enough away that you are the focus.
- Consider shooting in a location your recipients may recognize.
- Record with the light/sun facing you so you benefit from the natural light. If the light is behind you, you will appear shadowed.
- Avoid areas with a lot of foot or vehicle traffic as your device’s mic may pick up noise.
- Avoid wearing something extremely bright as it will wash you out on camera. Also, make sure it’s something you won’t regret in six months!
